Welcome to MusafirDiary
I’m Piyush, the travel writer behind MusafirDiary. I created this website for travellers who enjoy discovering new places but do not enjoy sorting through vague advice, copied itineraries or endless promotional lists. My goal is simple: turn travel research into useful plans that help you decide where to go, how much time to keep, what the trip may cost and what genuinely deserves a place in your bag.
MusafirDiary covers journeys across India and international destinations. India remains at the heart of the diary—from the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to Rajasthan’s historic cities, Gujarat’s lesser-known corners, Kerala’s backwaters and the changing cultures of the Northeast. International guides focus on practical planning for Indian travellers, including budgets, documents, transport, food, stays and realistic day-wise routes.
How the guides are created
Every destination guide begins with the questions a traveller actually asks: When should I visit? How do I reach the place? How many days are enough? Which area is convenient for a stay? What costs should I expect? What can go wrong? Information is checked against reliable sources and updated when important details change. Personal experience is clearly distinguished from research, and uncertainty is explained instead of hidden.
Travel gear guides follow the same practical approach. Products are compared for comfort, weight, durability, usefulness and value—not simply because they are popular. Affiliate relationships never buy a positive verdict. Sponsored content is labelled, and recommendations are updated when a better option becomes available.
The mission
MusafirDiary exists to help people travel with more confidence, respect local communities and spend thoughtfully. A useful guide should make a journey easier without removing the curiosity that makes travel memorable. I hope these pages help you plan fewer rushed checklists and more meaningful experiences.
If you have a correction, a destination suggestion or a story that could help other travellers, please use the Contact or Write for Us page. MusafirDiary is written by Piyush, but it grows stronger through responsible contributions from travellers who care about accurate, useful information.
