- Minimum 1200 words — ideally 1500 to 2500 for destination guides
- First-hand experiences only — write what you have actually done and seen
- Practical details: how to reach, cost, best time, where to eat/stay
- At least 5 original, high-quality photos (minimum 1200px wide, JPG)
- One or two relevant internal links to existing Musafir Diary posts
- Clear, simple language — write like you are telling a friend
- An honest point of view — what you liked and what you did not
❌ What We Don't Accept
- AI-generated content without human travel experience
- Content already published on another website (including your own)
- Purely promotional content for hotels, tour operators, or brands
- Generic listicles without personal experience
- Stock photos — we need real photos from your actual trip
- Contributor-inserted affiliate links
- Posts shorter than 1200 words or without practical info
- Content written from secondary sources without visiting the place
📋 Submission Process
Step 1 – Pitch first. Send us a 3–5 sentence pitch with your article idea and one line about yourself. We'll reply within 5 working days.
Step 2 – Write on approval. If we like your pitch, we'll confirm the topic and give you any specific guidelines before you write the full piece.
Step 3 – Submit your draft. Send the Google Doc (with editing access) and photos as a Google Drive link or WeTransfer.
Step 4 – Editorial review. We review within 7 working days and may suggest revisions. Once approved, we schedule for publication.
Step 5 – Go live! Your post gets published with your author bio, promoted across our social channels, and shared with our email list.
